Tonight was an interesting evening. I had plans to dine at Matunuck Oyster Bar with my friend Maria. Since there was a rare bird spotted nearby, we went birding (in the rain) first. We were pretty sure we heard the bird, but didn't see it, so we went to dinner thinking it would still be light when we finished.
Then we went birding again -- found the bird we were looking for - Long-billed Dowitcher and a bonus of a Pectoral Sandpiper & a Lesser Yellowlegs.
