Mud Pond

westerly-land-trust-Flat_edited.png

Part of the Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge but more directly accessible (off-season) a small salt pond that attracts Belted Kingfishers, Shorebirds, Owls, Hawks and Waterfowl. It is basically attached to Moonstone Beach and flows from Card?s Pond. Also from the hill you can see the "Bird Radar" set up in a field to track migration. The bird-nerd in me delights. I will miss having access to it when the season starts.
