The local section of "Ninigret" which is also a National Wildlife Refuge. This area was a practice landing field - substituting for aircraft carriers from the 40's ? the 70's. This lovely, easy trail follows the shore of Ninigret Pond out to a promontory extending into the pond. It trails through fields and wooded areas before opening up to views of the pond.
