Back in Rhode Island

Hard to get back in the saddle after being in Costa Rica for two weeks. Had a good winter early in the year, so not so much left to see here. Been really COLD as well, so that does not help. In fact, now most or all of the ponds are frozen and lots of work is being done making areas I usually bird in unavailable. All a little depressing...

When I did get out, I did not take so many photos, but here is what I did do.

Cackling Goose (smaller one with stubby bill)

White-tailed Deet

Merlin

Harlequin Duck

This day revived me a little --

Short-eared Owl

Red Fox

Snow Bunting

Dunlin & Black-bellied Plover

Common Loon

Snow Bunting

Savannah Sparrow

Northern Harrier

Got out to see the King Eider at Beavertail which was quite fun and it was pretty cooperative.

Harlequin Duck

Song Sparrow

Northern Mockingbird

Common Merganser

Northern Harrier

Duck Hunters at Quonnie - Ugh!

Great Blue Heron

Northern Harrier

Red-shouldered Hawk

Still cold and not much out there, hopefully the Costa Rica posts will be done soon!
