Great morning birding -- always a surprise. Chased a Yellow-breasted Chat and didn't catch it, but had a lovely morning in nature. Went to the grocery store on the way home and got a text about a Sandhill Crane! (courtesy of Jan St. Jean) -- I was off and after working my way through the maze that is URI to be rescued by Sue Palmer and taken to the right spot just in time to see the bird on the ground and then take flight. Not great photo -- it was far away and there was a chain link fence. I've wanted to see this bird for-ev-er! It was magnificent -- next step see a big old flock of them (somewhere).
