Hooked on Bombay Hook...

Had my first visit to Bombay Hook NWR -- wonderful. Hundreds of American Avocets, Northern Shovelers, Dunlin & Green-winged Teal. Quite the spectacle. Will go back before the end of May when apparently the insect population (black & green biting flies) is attracted to the car exhaust. I'm told the best month is December when they have the Avocets and 18 species of ducks. Lots of photos -- can't get enough of those Avocets!
