This morning was a kayak test drive at Ninigret Pond - so only bins because I am really not sure I could handle my camera from the kayak (could barely handle my bins). After paddling around a sitting for @an hour, I was worried about my legs’ ability to stand up from a kayak. I managed but it was not without concern or with anything resembling grace. I am grateful there were no witnesses (that I am aware of). I need more practice! A quick trip to Spray Rock Road in Weekapaug afterwards yielded some lovely tern shapes. Think they are all Common (adult & Judi) except for the mystery bird at the end. Think it is a tern, but looks like a full black head and not really tern-shaped. The jury is still out on that one.
