Preamble to The Wandering Ramble

I started the 2025 South Africa trip with 3 days of birding with Vince Ward of Birding Africa. First day we headed as far south as we could, then headed to the Sewage Treatement Ponds. Second Day we had a young man who is a prospective birding guide, job shadowing us (and he found me 2 life birds). We went a bit north of Cape Town (Darling Hills) and stopped at the inner city Refuge - Intaka Island in the afternoon. The third day I got the full tour of West Coast National Park. Lovely time and always great to bird with Vince!
