I enjoy birding immensely. I also like communicating about birding. I find other people are the best resource for expanding my knowledge base. My decisions to become a birder and then to produce a website to document my journey were almost simultaneous. I knew I wanted to share my process, my learnings, and my joy with my existing community of friends, family, and neighbors and so on. I also saw the website as a way to connect with my new community; to learn about and meet the people of Westerly. I also hope to connect with other birders, here, there, and everywhere! The website hasn’t launched yet, but I am driven to bird every day, and I want to write about it, document it. It’s important, I think.
