Cold, foggy, misty and rainy morning at Quonnie -- of course it was none of those things when I decided to get out of my car. It was the first day of Tern-a-palooza at the point @30 birds were standing there when I arrived. They moved to a nearby island but here was constant flyover and a few Least Terna and Dowitchers even landed on the point. I got very wet and so did my chair and cart (currently drying out in the garage. I had to do a load of laundry for the towels & clothes I was wearing. Got to visit with two of my favorite birders and birds on a Saturday of a holiday weekend -- the tourists are not waterproof. Photos are not as sharp as I would like, but it is RAINING. A lovely morning!
