I just got an e-mail about a Terek Sandpiper on Napatree Point.
A Terek Sandpiper?
Never heard of it.
That should make me want it more.
It does not. It is 80 degrees and on the way to high tide. There is no way I’m going to hike out 1.3 miles to a Lagoon I won’t be able to get to. There is no way I would get a parking space that would give me enough time to get there and back.
I’m hoping maybe he will show up somewhere more accessible, maybe somewhere I can see from my car when it is still in the 70s. I suspect I will miss that bird.
I’m ok with that.
