Waiting for my car to be serviced I got an alert there was a Dovekie & Razorbill in the Charlestown Breachway for Peter Fish - both are typically found on a pelagic boat trip. The additional irony is that I was there about 4 hours earlier looking for precisely those birds with no luck. I finally got my car @3:55 and sprinted to the Breachway in time to see them and photograph thanks to several birder friends who were already on the Dovekie - Sue, Tim & Jessica (I got a Razorbill for 2023 yesterday thanks to Louise Ruggeri). Although my heart is still racing, it was a great way to end a rainy day. BTW -- in 2022 I finally got my Dovekie (well 90 of them) on 12/30/2022. It is a relief to check that box early in the year.
