Back at it (finally)

This morning, Sunday 12/8, I finally went back out for a "normal" birding session. I was lucky to spend most of it with my sharp-eyed friend Sue. We were at Sachuest National Wildlife Refuge which has a bunch of trails most of which have very steep, rocky trails down to the beach. I can't handle those, but Sue can and did.
I finally gave up -- it wasn't cold but was VERY windy and went back to the car without her. She called me once I got back to my car to tell me she found the Snowy Owl that had been spotted the previous day. I was done but also it wasn't really viewable from the trail. She felt badly, but I was fine with I. I walked a mile -- which is a LOT more than I have walked lately -- and I had a lovely visit with not only Sue, but a friend of a friend and a Nature Journaling teacher (who's class I had to skip yesterday -- but I hear is amazing). It reminded me that I don't just bird for the birds, I also bird for the birders. This was a great morning for birders!
Here are some photos from the las two weeks!
