Beautiful morning at Quonnie, slight breeze, no clouds & my friend Maria, who is a new birder came by to sit with me. Lots of Terns, Gulls, & the usual shore birds. I was playing with my phone and contemplating leaving when Maria says -- oooh what's that. I said -- Holy crap, that's a Tricolored Heron. She found a Rare Bird! So excited for her and grateful that she spotted I don't have on this year's list. More photos than usual of one bird -- it's worth it - so close! Threw in a bug & a jellyfish just for grins.
