Birding delay

Kind of a quiet birding day today - started at the Lighthouse (Watch Hill) with some Razorbills. At Moonstone Beach Road I ran into/met in person for the first time a fellow birder (Betsy Staples) who wanted to know about the Marsh Wren I saw yesterday and I sent her off to Watch Hill to see the Razorbills.

After she left -- I heard a lovely song, looked up and there was a lone Rusty Blackbird - a new 2022 bird for me. I've been relentless searching through the huge flock (easily 500+) of blackbirds to try to find a Rusty -- no luck. So thanks Betsy for making me stay there and chat, so the bird showed up (No Chat today though). Then some lovely moments with a few Long-tailed Ducks at the Charlestown Breachway.

When I got home and started processing photos, some of the Razorbill photos looked odd -- so the rest of my morning and some of the afternoon were spent querying various experienced birders trying to get an ID. It was a tough one, but the final verdict is Razorbill with a fish in it's mouth. It may seem obvious -- but the photo quality wasn't excellent because it was quite a ways out. See if you can tell...
