Catching Up

Back in Rhode Island for 2 weeks now and trying to catch up with everything that has fallen behind in this busy first quarter of travel. Lots of activity with the Ocean State Bird Club where I am now on the board - writing for the newsletter, setting up walks, sits, drives and talks and trying to recruit new walk leaders. I'm also in the midst of a major decluttering project which will probably continue for another few weeks.
Only been out birding sporadically because of the busy-ness but here are some photos from when I was out and about...
Moonstone Beach Road
Red-shouldered Hawk

Succotash Marsh
Greater Yellowlegs

Mud Pond
Hooded Merganser with breakfast -- maybe a little more than she can handle

Quonnie Breachway
Departing Common Eider

Watch Hill Lighthouse
Brant eating Starfish (I think...)

Quonnie Breachway
Common Loon

Red-winged Blackbird

Belted Kingfisher

Working on a Video Montage for the Minnesota Trip -- hopefully posting it sometime this week.
