Dowitcher or Heron?

Today's bird moment was after searching with a bunch of other birders for a Long-billed Dowitcher, which I did not see. I stopped at Quonset on my way to Providence to return my rental camera. Right there when I drove up stood a beautiful Yellow-crowned Night Heron. I like it when the birds just show up -- so much better than chasing them. We spend a bit of time together. That was lovely -- just me & the bird.
