Lots of gloom and a little sun

Monday started off kind of gloomy and got more so. There were a few moments when the sun came out and I managed to capture a couple images of a Snowy Egret (with breeding lores) during those moments.

Tuesday was nicer, but marginally. Ran into my friend Sue at Ninigret NWR and spent a long time just catching up -- but right after she left I had a few good photo ops.

Another gloomy Wednesday -- the only photo worth posting -- a sunny Yellow Warbler amidst the Gloom.

No productive birding on Thursday (and I was trapped in my condo by a new neighbor moving in -- truck blocked driveway and the paused the elevator), so I processed the rest of my AZ photos (more to come on blog soon) Friday was gloomier than I expected, but did get a few shots.

I was hoping for a Sunny Saturday -- but alas, same old, same old... Started up in Foster -- where I had a very cooperative Eastern Wood-peewee singing away - finished up at Quonnie with 2 Caspian Terns and a cooperative Willow Flycatcher -- still gloomy.

Again, Sunday was gloomy, it was spitting rain on the way to Quonnie, but I braved the weather and walked out to the point with my wagon full of stuff to find not much real estate that would remain at high tide. But there was just enough, Maria joined me for the last 45 minutes. Also went to the Town Beach Kayak launch in Westerly where I discovered a bunch of Ruddy Turnstones and Dunlins. Nice way to end the week -- it's almost 1:30pm and the sun is trying to peek out. We'll see...
