Interesting day at Quonnie. I started by trimming back some of the grass next to the path to the beach because yesterday someone who I think couldn't see the path blocked it with their boat trailer. Then the Black Skimmer (my favorite bird) I wished for (on a Facebook comment) yesterday, showed up -- not 1 or 2 but 4 of them! I found out today that a group of Black Skimmers is call a Scoop -- perfect (Look at the photos and you'll understand). So pleased because they have been hanging out at Napatree point where I struggle with because of my ankle issues. A random Fog/Marine Layer rolled in & they disappeared but I got them! Now I am trying to manifest a Black Tern - 1 will suffice.
