I met a spider last week that I think is a Marbled orb-weaver. Who knew? This week I ran into one again – again being chased by a bird. What are the odds – there are lots of different spiders and other insects around here.
Why am I seeing the same icky creature being preyed on? Do I need to watch for spiders? Perhaps there is a spider irruption and that is why there are so many birds? Why don’t the rarest of the rare go for this spider?
Zen birding lesson of the day: Watch the spider!
