You Don’t Have to See It to Believe It

This morning there was no sunrise. Well, of course, there was a sunrise. I just couldn’t see come up. It wasn’t raining, just very dark and cloudy, so I lingered in bed snoozing for an extra half hour.

When I got to my spot at The Light, a few Gulls paused to say hello.

My Ring-Necked Pheasant sparred with some crows in Avondale Farm.

My flock of American Black Ducks were back on the salt pond.

The Red winged Blackbirds are back and decorate the bare trees.

Even though they hadn’t been able to see the sun come up, they trusted in their way and all was right in the bird world. On my lunchtime walk I was greeted with Bluebirds and Goldfinches, the first I’ve seen in the neighborhood. Spring is here!
